The Inspiration
The Joy of Real Letters
and Human Stories
There was a time when the mailbox held possibility. You would walk out, not expecting a package or a bill, but hoping. Hoping for a letter written just for you; a folded piece of stationery carrying someone’s thoughts, loves, their week, their small triumphs, and quiet worries. We have not lost the need for that.In a world of notifications and noise, something gentle has faded; the simple delight of being remembered in ink.Letters in Your Mailbox was created to bring that feeling back. Each week, a character writes to you. Not an email. Not a post. A real letter — thoughtful, personal, unfolding over time. Their lives continue. Their stories grow. You become part of the rhythm. No replies required.
No pressure.
Just the quiet joy of opening your mailbox and finding something written with care.Because sometimes, the smallest envelope carries the warmest moment of the day. Each voice carries a different kind of story.
Some adventurous. Some reflective. Some quietly romantic.
All waiting to write to you.
With affection,
Letters in Your Mailbox
Someone is waiting to write to you.

Daphne DePaul

Bekkah Gantry
.

Charles Dandridge
Charles believes life is best told over a glass of something cold and a well-timed joke.A husband to June and a collector of good stories, he writes the way a favorite uncle talks — with humor, perspective, and the occasional surprising nugget of wisdom tucked between the laughs. His letters are lighthearted but thoughtful, filled with everyday observations, interesting tidbits, and the kind of steady cheer that makes you smile before you’ve even finished reading. No drama. No heavy plots.
Just good humor and good company — once a week.

Chloe Monroe
A Fresh Start
Chloe writes as if the world still pauses for roses to bloom.
In Chloe's own words...
When she leaves home, she does not slam the door behind her. She lingers on the porch. She notices the scent of summer climbing roses. She wonders whether courage and homesickness can exist in the same breath. After the loss of her mother, she makes a quiet and daring choice: she will go to the airport and purchase a ticket for the next available flight — wherever it may lead. She does not know her destination.Neither will you. Each week, her letters arrive from wherever she has landed — written in a voice that feels like another era: poetic, tender, unhurried. She writes about longing and bravery, about stepping forward even when one’s heart pulls backward, about learning who she is meant to be in a world that has changed.Every subscriber begins at the very first letter — the day she boards that first flight. From there, her journey unfolds one week at a time, entirely your own.

• A story that begins at the very beginning

Daphne DePaul
Building Something of Her Own
In Daphne's own words...
Daphne writes from the middle of a life she is determined to shape for herself. She grew up with well-known parents — a reality that has opened doors and closed others. She loves them. She’s grateful. But she is equally determined to be known for who she is, not whose daughter she happens to be.So she builds. She runs her own catering company. She trains and rides horses. She shows up before dawn to quiet barns and long event days. She dreams of a small cottage that belongs entirely to her — a place where the porch and the future are both hers to design. Her letters are practical, thoughtful, and honest. She writes about ambition and insecurity, about business risks and relationship questions, about the steady, sometimes uncomfortable process of growing into one’s own skin.Every subscriber begins at the very first letter — when she is just beginning to test her independence. From there, her story unfolds one week at a time, full of work, change, missteps, and hard-earned confidence.

What You Can Expect
• A weekly printed letter delivered to your mailbox
• A story centered on independence, work, and personal growth
• A voice that is at first hesitant, but grounded, candid, and quietly determined to become herself

Bekkah Gantry
Adventure Is Calling
In Bekkah's own words...
Bekkah writes with sand still in her boots and history on her hands. She doesn't quietly say hello to the world; she jumps up and greets it enthusiastically.Fresh out of years of study, armed with degrees in archaeology and paleontology, she doesn’t intend to admire the past from behind a desk. She intends to uncover it.Her first assignment sends her overseas to a real excavation — the kind most people only read about. There are confidentiality agreements, long days in the sun, and the ever-present thrill of discovering something that has not seen daylight in centuries.Bekkah’s letters are energetic, curious, and full of motion. She writes about the realities of life on a dig, the places she explores on her days off, the people she meets briefly and leaves behind, and the constant tug of the next destination.Every subscriber begins at the very first letter — when she is packing her bags and boarding that first flight to Egypt. From there, her journey unfolds one week at a time, carried by dirt under her fingernails and the wide horizon ahead.

What You Can Expect
• A weekly printed letter delivered to your mailbox
• Travel, exploration, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of archaeological work
• A voice that is enthusiastic, intelligent, and endlessly curious

Charles Dandridge
Come Sit a Spell
Charles writes the way a good neighbor talks across a fence — unhurried, observant, and rarely without a story. He has been married to June long enough to know that teasing is a form of affection. He’ll tell you about the small debates they have over coffee, the projects that don’t go quite as planned, and the everyday moments that turn unexpectedly funny. Some weeks you’ll get a story that makes you laugh.
Some weeks a piece of trivia he dares you to answer.
Some weeks a quotation that lingers longer than you expected.Charles doesn’t follow a sweeping narrative. His letters are snapshots — slices of a life built steadily over time. There are dad jokes, dry humor, grandfatherly observations, and the kind of wisdom that sneaks in between the punchlines. He notices things. He remembers things. And he enjoys passing them along.Every subscriber begins at his first letter and moves forward one week at a time — just a steady note arriving in your mailbox, written with good humor and a firm handshake.

What You Can Expect
• A weekly printed letter delivered to your mailbox
• Humor, reflections, and stories from everyday life
• A voice that is thoughtful, steady, and quietly witty
• Thoughtful storytelling free of explicit language or graphic content
Some readers choose to follow more than one story.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few answers to the questions readers most often ask before beginning their first story.
Are the stories appropriate for all readers?
Yes. Letters in Your Mailbox is written in the tradition of classic storytelling. While the characters experience real life — grief, hope, love, and adventure — the stories contain no explicit language, sexual content, or graphic material. The tone remains thoughtful, reflective, and respectful of the reader.
What exactly will I receive?
Unless it is a Special Edition, subscribers receive one printed letter each week delivered by mail. Each letter continues the story from the previous one, allowing you to follow along as the characters share their lives, adventures, and reflections over time.
What is a Special Edition
Special Editions are characters who write for a period of time, and then the subscription ends. Depending on the character, they may write weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
Where does the story begin?
Every subscriber begins at the very beginning of the story. Your first letter will always be Letter #1, and each week you’ll receive the next chapter as the story unfolds.
Can I follow more than one character?
Yes. Many readers choose to follow more than one story. Each character writes their own letters and their stories unfold independently, so you may subscribe to as many as you like.
When will my first letter arrive?
New subscriptions begin the first full mailing week following the week of the initial subscription. This allows time to prepare your first mailing and ensures no delays in future mailings. Depending on what day you order and which character you subscribe to, your first letter will be placed into the mailbox between seven and thirteen days later, and every week thereafter, unless it is a Special Edition character.
How long do the stories last?
Chloe, Daphne, and Bekkah have been sharing their adventures for years. You will experience their lives in real time.Charles has also been sharing his life for years, but as a storyteller himself, his letters can be read even out of order and you will still enjoy them the same.Shannon, the veterinarian, is nearly complete. Her story about life and animal rescues takes place over a year's time, two letters monthly. From the Cottage on the Water's Edge is a year in the life of Mary Jane. A total of twelve treasure-filled envelopes will make their way to you as she shares the month’s happenings in her world.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
Yes. You may pause or cancel your subscription at any time through your account portal.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Letters are sent worldwide. International subscriptions include the additional postage required for overseas delivery.
Are these handwritten letters?
The letters are carefully written and designed to feel like traditional personal correspondence. They are printed on custom stationery so they arrive looking and feeling like a real letter from the writer.
